MY CELL
Cell phones. I couldn’t live without mine. My Android is my lifesaver. As Gollam said in Lord of the Rings, it is “my precious!” It keeps my calendar, emails ( I can even send them), voice notes, and so much more. It even wakes me up in the morning. It also does the most incredible ringtones. Many of you have a unique ringtone, so I know it’s you when you call. Another neat thing is that your picture can come up when you call…and it is big! I can watch videos, conference, send pics, get on the Internet, and tether it to my computer. But the apps…did I tell you about all the apps this thing has? WOW!!! I have about thirty apps on mine, and I don’t use half of them, but I have them!
Okay, I will stop! But it is cool. How wonderful would it be if we knew Christ that well? How incredible would it be if I could describe our Lord with such detail and intricacy?
At Overcome, we do. We teach our kids every Sunday. We pour into the church to praise Him. We attend small groups and Bible studies to go deeper. We serve side by side with Him. We give because of Him. We pray to commune with Him and listen to let Him move us. Please don’t stop, my friends. Don’t stop.
Yeah, I love my Android, but I, of course, love Christ more. What do you love? Who do you love? Let it be Christ!
Love you all,
Rev. Jim
